Ishizu Ishtar is a kind and wise woman who displays strong maternal characteristics. She is a spiritually inclined woman, believing in the power of fate and destiny and is especially solicitous about the well-being of her family members and those around her. She is devoted to her brother Marik (despite her refusal to allow him to leave their tombs for fear that he would divert his attention from his duties as Tomb Guardians), and is committed to her family’s destiny to serve the pharaoh.

Her straight black hair trails just below her shoulders, and features 2 locks wrapped in gold beads coming from behind her ears and continuing in front, stopping at her neck. She is slender in build and has light brown tanned skin. She wears the Millennium Necklace on her neck before giving it to Yugi.

Ishizu, who was predicted to lose the Battle City Tournament, qualifies for quarterfinals. He then faces Kaiba. But a vision from Kisara forces him to summon the “Blue-Eyes White Dragon”, instead of Obelisk, the Tormentor. This prevents his predicted defeat. Afterward, she gives the necklace to Yugi, claiming that it is no longer necessary as the future it predicts is not infallible and can be changed.

Ishizu welcomed Y/n back from his little errand with a smile, and a kiss. She opened a box, and took out a small one-piece wooden chest. Inside was the Egyptian God Card. She smiled as she looked at it.
